I'm hearing good reports on the young Swedish Center, Jonathan Dahlen. He's a 19 year old sniper, 2nd Round Draft pick in 2016 Entry Draft so ostensibly 2nd Rounder in return for Burrows. Makes up for trading away last year's 2nd Round pick. Nice hockey trade.

Farewell Burr, you will be missed. If the playoffs were to start tomorrow, the Sens would be playing... (drum roll).....The Bruins in Round 1! That would be fun to watch.

 Going to be missed but its probably the right move for both Burrows and the Nucks.

Even in his departure, Burr gives something back - hope for the future. We'll see if this kid is more likely to see ice time as a Canuck or if he goes the way of so many promising prospects and gets stalled at the AHL level.

Still hopeful that JB will get something for Hansen and Miller; I wouldn't rule out trading others as well (Gudbranson, Granlund, etc.) as long as the return is decent.

Hansen reportedly turns down a trade to Montreal.

Really? Did the report say why?

Hansen headed to San Jose for nice looking prospect and a conditional pick.

Nikolai Goldobin....the shifty Russian speedster a 1st Rounder last year.

Apparently the conditional pick becomes a 1st Rounder should the Sharks win the Cup.

Oh, now, JB has gone too far. The Canucks claimed Omarosa on waivers from Anaheim.

Goldobin is a nice pickup. Almost PPG in the AHL.

Canucks sign F Drew Shore. Played this season in the Swiss League, where he went 24-24-48 in 50 games.

U of Denver alum and Colorado native showed some promise in Florida, but after two seasons with the big club found himself back in the minors.

I would keep Granlund - he's at 19 goals this year with 12 to play and is showing some promise playing with the Sedins which may incrementally increase their marginal value next year.

I had been following Drew's exploits since his DU days, thought for sure he'd be a mainstay but it didn't happen. Not promising because he came up through the system back when the Panthros really didn't have much talent on the main roster and still couldn't stick.

Nucks sign UND alum and 1st round draft pick F Brock Boeser. And he's going to play right away!

Home town boy gets in the lineup against Minny today. After a disallowed goal by Boeser in OT and 2OT loss U of N. Dakota v. BU yesterday, seems a bit rushed to get him in the lineup today. But yeah, season ticket drive is coming and there has been very little to cheer about this season for the Canucks.

- 4 cases of food poisoning
- 3 cases of the Mumps
- Markstrom injured in meaningless skills competition
- most man games lost due to injury out of every NHL team (334)

What Does The NHL Injury Data Say? March 18

- The Vancouver Canucks (334) and Winnipeg Jets (291) have suffered the most man-games lost to injury so far this season. The Washington Capitals (43) and Calgary Flames (66) are the least injured teams. See Table 1 below for more rankings.
- The Buffalo Sabres and Pittsburgh Penguins have faced the greatest cumulative impact of injured forwards or defensemen by the IIT-skater metric. The Washington Capitals and Calgary Flames have faced the least impact due to injuries.
- On the other hand, the LA Kings and Tampa Bay Lightning are most affected by injuries by the Lost-ps metric. The Kings are 7th in team man-games lost with 224 and have had injuries to high Point Shares players.
- The Vancouver Canucks are tops in cumulative minutes lost to injury (CMIP) based on the average ice time lost from their injured players.
The greatest injury impact to a team for a lost defenseman (by IIT-skater metric) is Kris Letang (29 games missed to injury and his relatively high ATOI). See Table 2 below for more skater rankings.
- For forwards, Johan Larsson’s 36 games injured cause him to lead all IIT-skater metrics for forwards.
- Steven Stamkos (53 games injured) leads all players in Lost-ps, based on games injured and his Point Shares lost to injury.
- Tyler Myers (60 games injured) leads all players in CMIP based on his games missed and his average time on ice per game.
- For goalies, Jonathan Quick’s 59 man-games lost and average minutes played place him 1st in IIT-goalie, impact to a team due to injury to a goalie.

Tryamkin was mentioned several times by President Trevor Linden during his post-mortem media conference just last week as someone the team is building around.

This management team just stumbles from issue to issue with no plan. Please re-hire Gillis.
