Loss to the Sharks brings us to 3-3 for the final 25.

Hank gets the big 900, but the Nucks still down 6-2 on Steve Nash night.

First 3 goals let in by Markstrom who gets the hook. :spid:

Eddie is spectacular as the Nucks bring it back to within one.

A bad give away makes it 4-2 and the final two Sharks goals are empty netters.

according to TSN Lack gets the start. Boo, have to agree with Jyrki that they should have gone with Markstrom tonight

Lose to Buffalo, NJ, SJ which had to fly into Vancouver after playing at home to Calgary the day before and now lose to Arizona. Being quite successful at losing the games they should win.

Hard fought win against the Ducks tonight. Lack and Kassian get the 1st and 3rd stars respectively.

So that's:

a loser point vs the Coyotes on the 5th

a 3-2 Win vs the Sharks on the 7th

and a 1-2 Win vs the Ducks tonight.

Next up an important game against the Kings on Thursday Night.

Nucks defeat Leafs 4-1. Toronto's only goal on a Kessel penalty Shot.

Burrows puts away the Flyers!

4-1 the final score on this special Pat Quinn St Patrick's Day tilt.

Of course it was a team win but man those two rapid fire goals in the third were just a wrecking ball to a team which almost always wins when they visit Vancouver.

Now's not the time to be losing 6-2 to the Jackets.

Oh yeah, and Tim Peel sucks

Especially bad since the Jackets played the night before.....Buffalo, NJ, Arizona all recent losses to bottom feeders, kind of surprised they beat Toronto and Phili.

Though I watched that painful painful game from start to finish I have expunged it from memory. Didn't happen.

They are going to be in hard this afternoon against LA. Probably will only be able to catch the final period - I hope not to be tuning into the Canucks taking a drubbing when I do. :viking:

Sweet win against the Kings 4-1.

Game had a little of everything including almost a goalie fight.

Burrows took a nasty hit, though he came back late in the game, and there might be some supplemental discipline for Taffoli which won't bode well for the Kings fighting for a playoff spot.

Nice to see a little push back from the Nucks who have been owned by the Kings this season.

and Horvat gets his 13th. For a kid who was so marginal a player up until just before Christmas he has come on so strong. Speaking of strong he's put on 5 lbs during the regular season  , who does that?

The Kennis/Horvat/Hansen line has been dominating. So strong, defensively aware, great faceoffs and is showing more offensive upside than I expected. Didn't think we'd see this sort of performance from him for 2 more years.

And now.... a tilt against the desert dogs of Arizona - who have only one a single game in the last zillion against.... the Nucks.

Time to give Markstrom a win boys. :viking:

Sweet 3-1 Victory against the Desert Dogs! :viking:

PITB - Recap here.

Of course it wasn't a smooth victory every Canucks fan knows the hockey gods weren't going to let them of that easy. All night long they zinged pucks off steel. Until they finally relented and allowed the winning goal to zing off the post and in. :cthulhu:

Since my last post we've:

Beat the Jets 5-2 on Mar 24th, :viking:

Then lost two:

An uninspiring loss against the Avs 4-1 on Mar 26th, and :steamingpileofcrap:

an overtime loss to the Stars 4-3 pm the 28th. :steamingpileofcrap:

Tonight a convincing victory against the Blues 4-1. :viking:

Tomorrow they are playing the Preds on a back to back road game so they'll be in tough. Would be happy to leave the music city with a loser point and no injuries.

If the playoffs started tomorrow we'd be battling the Flames in the first round:

Vancouver Canucks vs. Calgary Flames

Pacific Division No. 2 vs. Pacific Division No. 3

Canucks: 44-27-5, 93 points
■Games remaining: 6

Flames: 42-28-7, 91 points
■Games remaining: 5

Regular-season series: Tied 2-2-0

Can someone explain the playoff seeding to me now, for some reason I wasn't paying much attention last year :argh: but it's obviously not 1-8 anymore

looking at what CC has just posted is it 2-3 in both divisions and 1 vs wild card? What happens after that?

Top 3 teams in each division make the playoffs.

After that, the top 2 remaining teams in the conference(WC1 and WC2) make the playoffs as wild cards.

Top team in the conference plays WC2 regardless of what division they come from.
Top team in the other division in the conference plays WC1 regardless of what division they come from.
2 vs. 3 in each division.

Winner of Division A 1 vs. WC plays winner of 2 vs. 3 of division A.
