So basically we're cheering for Calgary over LA Kings.............repeat that slowly and reach for the mouth wash.

remember the days when it seemed like shootouts were almost like an automatic loss...........Vrbata has been such a good pickup for the team this year, beautiful goal in the shootout by Radim tonight.

With 4 games in 6 nights on the road (Blues, Preds, Hawks, and Jets) I was hoping for 4 points and figured 3. They already have the 4 points. Should be able to hold off the Flames and Kings now.

5-4 SO Victory against the Preds

I'm quite pleased with the outcome and I definitely got my entertainment value out of the game. It had a little of everything and nothing like shouting Zebra conspiracy in the twitterverse to get one ready for the post season. :doom:

Nucks showed a lot of resilience this game.

This is how PITB saw the game! and Iain MacIntyre

I really didn't expect much from this season's edition - certainly not the postseason dance. I didn't expect them to be ahead of the Stars, Kings and Sharts at this stage of the season, and now all three of those teams look like they could miss the playoffs entirely. Kudos to WD for getting so much out of so little...

Now, if only he could do something - anything about that BXA/Sbisa pairing... Holy hot mess...

Pretty sure 90% of that hot mess is Sbisa. He sucks. Bieksa is likely in decline, but he's still useful in the right role.

Bieksa has been showing his age the last two seasons, its been a rapid descent. unfortunately some athletes don't age well. Still I'm hoping part of its just been injuries and he gets healthy in the off season and bounces back a bit but based on the this season and the last if the decline continues at the same pace next year might be his final.

Pretty fond of the guy, looking forward to him moving onto hockey analyst somewhere although he may have his eye on management, he's pretty bright.

My buddy was a teacher in Grimsby for a few years. Bieksa does not have a reputation as being "pretty bright" out there

Tough 3-1 loss to Chicago last night - first loss in Chicago in like 5 years.

First goal against: Hard to win when the goalie has to defend without a stick. :fry:

Well I missed Saturday's wild and wolley loss to the Jets - I completely lost track of time with thse early start. Not too heartbroken though, as I fully expect a nail biting just scrape in entry to the postseason because that's how we roll (and I'd like to see the Jets make it also).

Big game tonight against the Kings! Won't be missing that. :viking:

Well that was a beauty! 2-1 SO win over the Kings. :viking:
Would enjoy the games much more if the Nucks could somehow quit spotting the other team a goal at the beginning of the game.

yes with Arizona and Edmonton up next that pretty much clinches the playoffs although with their track record against the bottom feeders last two months I guess I shouldn't be counting on it yet.

Hank gets his 700th assist! :viking:

Hoping for Calgary in the first round, go Flames.

I too am looking forward to an old Smythe Division matchup. It will be worth staying up late for.

Nice 5-0 victory against the desert dogs. Final game against the Oilers on Sat which is still meaningful because it may determine home ice advantage against the Flames in round one. :viking:

what a mess, but thanks to the Jets 2nd was clinched and nothing to play for, more importantly no one got hurt. And a couple very nice goals from Sven. Small sample size but he looks really good.
