From the list of things you would never, ever think you'd hear, "how do they replace Stanton in the lineup?" Seriously, if it wasn't for the play of Santorelli, Stanton would be the story of the year. Rookie Dman claimed on waivers and playing as well as anyone in the lineup who is not named Dan Hamhuis. Capgeek rates Staton as the 2nd best Dman value in the league only surpassed by Andrew MacDonald of the Isles. Tops on the list, Santorelli of course.
(okay Saskhab I know the model is pretty questionable but its still fun)http://www.capgeek.com/bargain-hunter/Anyways a very good week with two wins which includes a blowout of the Bruins and a shootout loss to the Wild. First loss in December.
Luongo is rounding into typical mid season form with a .960+ save percentage in December and dragging his early season .900 average up to .922. Interesting Luo stat I heard this week, when facing 40 shots or more in a game his winning percentage is just over .800. Perhaps the Nuck need to swap defencemen Denver. (except Stanton)
Hawks on the horizon, and the first real good test since the Nucks have rounded into what I believe is their true form, looking forward to this one.
