I HOPE these teams are finally on a little more equal footing. All I ask is someone actually challenge Kesler when he's in the attacking zone.

The news on Hejda is good--out 10-14 days, but he still isn't playing in this game.

Don't expect any lineup changes for this one on Colorado's side.

Oof. Right there is where losing Hejda hurts. Guenin with a boneheaded turnover that leads to a Santorelli goal.

Shit call there on Mitchell, even though it was a stupid pass by him to Duchene. No idea why he's on the power play.

Only the Avs' third line of McGinn-Mitchell-Talbot is really giving the Canucks trouble. If ONLY Mitchell had a remotely accurate shot.

End of 1- Avs down 1-0.

On one hand, Avs outshot their opponent, but hardly any quality scoring chances. Meanwhile the Canucks had nothing but quality scoring chances.

Avs just have to keep working out there, and they really, really need to figure out a better strategy against the Sedins.

That's been a puzzle for a lot of players and coaches for a long time now.

True, very hard to contain them. I'll give Matt Duchene an E for Effort. He's been up against Henrik for most of the night and every now and then wins the puck battle.

Overall, Avs still look outclassed. That's okay though. Last season we were outclassed by everyone.

Aaaaaand another bad defensive play leads to Kesler's goal.

Terrible game from Landeskog tonight. I can't help but feel like he's hurt. Just not skating and hitting like he usually does.

This one is done, now please refrain from defensive miscues ala the Phoenix game and get luo the shutout. If Danny gets a goal it would be a nice bonus.
