3-0 start which hey might as well enjoy some wins while you can.

In the bits and pieces I have watched in games some notes on young guys.
-Nylander in two looks fantastic with a great mix of skill, composure, and puck confidence. Suspect he goes to AHL to work on being a center with the patience approach the Leafs look to be leaning towards
-Marner in one game looked a little overwhelmed by it all hopefully he settles in and shows more in up coming games before he is back in OHL.
-Gardner may actually be a smart enough player which I kinda thought he wasn't. Maybe it's the added structure that Babcock brings? Maybe he just had a good game...
-Garrett Sparks name just sounds as cool as his tribute gear to Trevor kid looks.
-Dermott looked pretty comfortable for an eighteen year old second rounder.
-I just love the way Gauthier plays and do not get the flack people seem to want to give him. Maybe it's the goalie in me loving responsible players regardless of offensive limitations? He may not have hit much in the Habs game but seeing the way he uses his size and reach in board battles along with his smart responsible play he is known for makes him a sure fire NHL'er in my opinion and a potentially very useful all be it bottom six guy.

Maple Leafs sign Boyes, cut Setoguchi and Glencross.

Marner sent back to London. He looked really hesitant and trying to defer the puck to much when he should have it on his stick more, looks like the London offense will be ridiculous this year and would be surprised if Marner is not in the thick of the scoring race even with World Jr time off.

So the end of that clip and reading begween the lines sounded to me like Babcock was implying that kids where his best players that game but for that same reason I guess he doesn't want them up with the big club playing with lousy vets.

Funny thing is I think he is right.

Sounds like Parenteau hasn't impressed in camp.

Not really, but his spot is pretty decided for now I think.
