It's amazing how much that Pacioretty goal changed momentum. It was the first shot of the game by the Habs.

The first two scoring lines looked sympatico tonight, so they might stick together for a while:

Max-DD-PAP
Chuckie-Plex-Gally

Plekanec must be thrilled to finally get some quality linemates.

The Eller line was meh. Could see some swapping there between Bourque, Sekac, Bournival, Weise, Moen. Sekac was adequate for someone who was probably nervous as hell.

Malhotra won his faceoffs. Mission accompli.

Gilbert had what I presume was a very Gilbert-esque game: a bad turnover, but otherwise moved the puck well. Emelin looked comfortable, moreso with puck moving than stay-at-homing.

Therrien very economical with ice time: everyone got at least 10 minutes. All forwards got at least 12.

Carlole. 2 rookies in their first NHL game out there in a tie game with a minute left.

So, Leafs got a goal that was offside, Prust got a way with a penalty on Bozak who had a grade A chance, Leafs banked one off Eller and in, Habs banked one off Percy and in.

NO ONE CAN COMPLAIN ABOUT THE OFFICIALS OR THE BOUNCES.

After all this, the Habs still only have a share of the division lead. What the hell, Hounsy?

Oh yeah. Gord Stellick interviewing Stephane Robidas during the first intermission, first game of the season, after a grand total of 6:24 on the ice.

"So Stephane, how are you finding playing in the Eastern Conference versus the West?"

Man I miss Scott Russell.

MOAR GRIT

MOAR TOUGHNESS

You just know Carlyle was bitching to high heaven when the Leafs waived his two favoritest players.
