As for my 2 cents, sorry, I'm already disregarding #43. I don't buy the "faceless ownership" argument. Yeah have a somewhat bureaucratic ownership entity can certainly make for a very indecisive bunch (re: Atlanta), but I don't see how well getting a "face" has helped some franchises. The Oilers got Katz and the Sens got Melnyk. How has that helped them thus far? Golisano is the most faceless "face" I think I've ever seen in professional sports. So long as the ownership is willing to dole out the money and not be meddlesome (as Melnyk invariably is) then I think "faceless" ownership

Well to be fair all of those moves were straight-up salary dumps, and it's not exactly like Darcy is proving the Leafs wrong. Fletcher did his job, though I'm still trying to figure out why he chose to give Toronto the Finger on his way out.
