i cant believe all the change in leaf land. i wont pretend to agree with all of burkes changes, but wow, as a whole the leafs have a completely different feel and tone than last year. the preseason has been great, a solid mix of toughness, speed, and even a dabling of finesse, and the best part is you can feel how much all these kids want to make the team. as a spectator this is so much better than watching the listless leafs of years past (take away job security and everyone seems to work harder...), at least by the end of the season, even if they dont make the playoffs (oh, they'll go to the post season with this team) it will have been a better season to watch than the last dozen with sundin (uhhhhh skate slower!).
i almost dare to hope...
