This is great:

My fav line:

Quote:
When Melrose was asked if that statistic gave him any glee, the former coach was very candid.

"I'm not going to lie to you, yeah it does, and any coach who tells you otherwise is a liar," Melrose told the Fan 590, adding, "I hope Tampa Bay doesn't win a game in the next year."

That is indeed fucking awesome, it's why Melrose serves us much better in the broadcast booth rather than the behind the bench.

Both NHL ownership groups in the Florida area are a joke.

More vindication for Melrose! Tocchet recently made Stamkos a healthy scratch.

Tocchet said a little while ago that they were going to scratch Stamkos on a regular basis to focus on a strength training regimen. Stamkos has actually looked good lately, even had a 4 game point streak so it looks like it is helping. I watched some of their last game vs. BUF and the line of Stamkos-Downie(!)-Jokinen looked quite good.

But ya, the fact that they have to scratch him every few games to do strength training certainly vindicates Melrose as it shows Stamkos wasn't really ready, but the results IMO show that Tocchet is handling it better than Mullet did.

Bolts are actually doing pretty well lately!
