I imagine his wife, whom he met in Denver, wasn't all that crazy about living in Russia with their kid.

Man, he gets a beatdown at the hands of the KHL Goon Squad and then summarily cut. This is great advertising for other washed-up NHLers who are thinking the grass is greener over in the K.
