Who'd make the best captain in the non-Jumbo non-Patty category? Pickle? Logan? Closer to average Joe? Encino Man?

I'll laugh if they pick Couture.

Friedman (I think) speculated that Vlasic might be next in line.

Sorry Hammer, but the Sharks are making the Isles look sane when you compare their off-seasons.

If you have a few minutes, it's not a bad read, but it ain't a short one.

John Scott, goal-per-game pace. Outscoring Logan Couture.

But Couture can out-whine the best of 'em.

What's the story on Hertl this season? Hammer, any idea?

Sharks postseason hopes dimming by the second. It's time to take the captaincy away from...oh, wait.

San Jose is the one team that could make the trade deadline fun if they decide to sell.

Takes a while to come back from a knee injury like his.

Have we ever seen a GM and player spar publicly like this? Only after the fact, usually.

Man, I have never seen a GM lose his marbles quicker than Wilson has this past season. WTF is he doing!?

Yeah, Wilson has pretty much lost his shit it seems. It seems like he and McLellan are actively trying to push Thornton out of SJ.

How is this team 10 points out of a playoff spot? Seriously?

They're worse on D and up front from recent years, and their goaltending has been average.

Burns as a power forward >>> Burns as a D

Boyle was in decline but Demers for Dillon didn't solve that hole, either. Basically to fill in for declining Boyle they put Burns back there and saw their forward depth basically made unimpressive, especially since Hertl's injury was one that generally limits you for a year after coming back.

And pretty much every single depth player they have is absolutely terrible. Like, not, 'obviously the worst player on the team, that's why they're on the 4th line/3rd pair' but 'how the heck are these guys employed at the AHL level, let alone the NHL?' bad.

It's always tomorrow...

Sharks eliminated last night. Really, heads should roll for this.

Unfortunately, it'll be all the wrong ones.

And I imagine Jumbo Joe will be traded.

And Doug Wilson is reminding me too much of Darcy Regier's career implosion.
