And pick up another one, I guess.

Johnston out, Sullivan in.

I think they fired another assistant as well, whatever.

This sure looks like another Therrien/Bylsma situation, a coach that was just too much of a control freak followed by one who will let Crosby and Malkin (and Kessel I suppose) run free.

At what point will Rutherford get the axe? He's done a pretty horrid job of managing this team and his first major coaching hire was an absolute disaster.

Johnston reminds me a bit of Roy, a guy plucked from the Juniors with some good ideas who simply wasn't a good fit for the NHL. At least as a coach.

Mario did that the day he replaced Shero with Rutherford.

I feel kinda bad for Kessel. He should have been freed from all the drama once he was out of Toronto.

Drama follows him like a shadow. I have no idea if he deserves it or not.

The way I see it, people seem to downplay all the bullshit Patrick Kane does and conversely overemphasizes everything Phil Kessel does (or doesn't do). It should be the exact opposite. I think the guy just isn't very sociable and people just misinterpret it.

Patrick Kane has played on a multi-Cup winner and has a Conn Smythe. Kessel doesn't. That's why.

I have a tough time respecting Kane, at all. I know the rape charges were dropped, but it'll always be there to me, largely due to his other dumb actions in the past.

Well, I don't think anyone truly "respects" Kane. But I agree, the hype machine will always treat him with reverence given his play and accomplishments on the ice.

Hell, even Bobby Hull's monstrous acts have largely been swept under the rug.

It's just a shame Phil Kessel gets scrutinized when he really hasn't done anything to earn his reputation.

He got a reputation in Boston when he got run out of town and the org does everything to discredit players that they traded.

In Toronto some petty, egotisitical asshole reporters decided to go after him. Plenty of reporters/writers don't like when players don't capitulate to whatever they feel or demand on a particular day. Here is a flat out piece of non-professional garbage that Cathal Kelly put out.

Crosby has 13 points in his last five games. It was all Mike's fault.

Kelly should stick to what he knows: Knitting, soccer, roller blading and picking out ball gowns.
