54 saves in a regular season shutout. That's ridiculous. Columbus went 0-7 with over 10 minutes of PP time.

Against Columbus, but still.

I saw the highlights, Smith was incredible. He almost literally stood on his head for one save.

It took Smith a while to get his act together but this year he is finally showing why TBay dealt Richards for him. I wonder if now they wish they hadn't given up on him (duh)?

Now I'm starting to see why Mike Smith has so many concussions. Yeesh.

I still think the Shaw elbow was a blatant cheap shot and intent to injure, but I can see the argument for Edler.

I can still remember when Roy would occasionally throw a good check into the boards on anyone venturing behind the net. To be honest, if you want to cut down on goalies wandering, instead of doing a trapezoid, just make them fair game outside the crease. Of course, I'd say that if you're gonna do that, then you also have to enforce rules against crashing the net, which you should do anyway.

Making it 100% the players fault means the goalies don't have to accept responsibility and will even use their bodies at time to interfer with the players. I've always believed they should be fair game out of the crease if playing the puck. That would be an advantage for the best, most athletic goalies and motivation to debulk their equipment and the sloths can stay in their crease where they should
