Part of a three-way deal where they get a 1st and more in return.

Nice work by Danny. Starting to think Jarmo isn't that good a GM...

Provorov had the same thing happen to him that happened to Phaneuf and Ristolainen. Came in the league looking like future no. 1s, but mostly settled as middle pairing types.

After a reported trade to Carolina got nixed by the league, it appears Tony DeAngelo has been put on the $1.50 waiver wire in order to be bought out.

Philly HAS to have the record of most buyouts since the cap was first instituted.

Philly has 8 buyouts, which is about mid-pack. Panthers and Predators have 10 each. Devils with 12! Other end of the spectrum- Vegas & Seattle have 0 buyouts. Jets have 2.

I can't sleep...

Vegas has zero buyouts? I already had an incredibly high opinion of that teams management, that fact just adds to my respect.

They've only had, what, 6 years in the league? They have done very well though, obviously, with their Cup win. Is that the fastest expansion team to win? Isles did it in 8 years, and that was with far fewer teams in the league. Granted, the expansion rules are much more favorable for new teams now, but it's still a hell of an accomplishment.

Think Flyers were 7 years, same as the Isles, and Edmonton 4 years but they were not a typical expansion, they entered the league with 5 players (including Gretzky) from their WHA team.
