Provorov and Konecky still need to be signed. They've got the cap room but I'm guessing there's a difference of opinion in how much Ivan is worth: hella good two seasons ago and meh last year.

On a side note, Flyers drama is alive and well, even though the two players in question are no longer Flyers.

The picture they're using for Neuvirth is fuckin' hilarious.

Six years, 6.75M AAV for Ivan.

I think it'll end up being a bargain, but you never know in topsy turvy Philly.

Six years, $5.5M AAV for Travis Konecny.

I think it'll be a good deal in the end, takes out 2 UFA years. If he kinda stays as a 2nd liner, maybe a bit overpaid.

Exact same deal as Bo Horvat.

And I think Bo is better.

Take it for what it's worth but Bo isn't quite as good as the eye test would have you believe. And yes, I think he looks like an impact player as well.

Haven't been following the Philly Flyboys very closely this preseason but apparently they only won one exhibition contest and dropped a 4-3 decision against Lausanne HC in Switzerland.

https://www.nbcsports.com/philadelphia/ ... witzerland

Hey, it doesn't count, and they endured a pretty long flight and practice right before playing, so they definitely started the game in DGAF mode.

Once again, I'm glad the crazy Flyers are back, even if they're just about the most self-destructive team in the National Hockey League.

Chris Stewart, who played in England last year, is back stateside on a PTO with Philly.

He'll do what he always does, make an impact early on, then disappear and eventually get waived.

Wow. Horrid news about young winger Oskar Lindblom, who will miss the remainder of the regular season as he undergoes treatment for a form of bone cancer.

Oskar Lindblom joined the Flyers for team photo day. Best of luck to him!

Flyers are expected to sign natural RW Linus Sandin (brother of Rasmus) as soon as he's eligible. Solid scorer in the Swedish league.

Niskanen retires with a year and 5.75M on his deal. Huge for the free spending Flyers. Krug calling?

Only 33, and he wasn't that far from 1000 games. Kinda shocking.

Always thought he was dirty as hell so I'm not too sad to see him go, but no arguing that he was a quality top-four defender in his prime.

This might make the Flyboys rethink moving Ghost now.

Yeah, Niskanen was a dirty bastard. Glad to see him go. I do hope he enjoys retirement though and finds a relaxing hobby like carving tiny, angry figurines of dwarfs and trolls out of driftwood.

Flyers look good on paper. Vet corps still solid with young guys coming up. Hart is the real deal.

Not sure I love their defence outside of Big Ivan and Sandheim.

They've converted former first rounder Sam Morin into a hybrid forward/dman. For a guy with his size he might be able to carve out a career as a 4th line winger. Just missed too much time to develop into a proper defenceman.

So earlier this year Jake Voracek cussed out a reporter live on Zoom, and now apparently called out an HF Boards poster.

Seriously dude? Kinda lookin' thin-skinned there.
