First the eye, then the knee, now the head.

Good thing the Flyboys got Giroux, who could probably vault the Avs into first place if he were playing for them.

I wish there was a like button for this one. Pronger of all people had this coming to him - as much as Hatcher did with the leg injury. Pronger caused so many concussions I for one am not sad to see him out of the game for a good long time.

Don't you need a working brain in order to be concussed?

Just read the Flyboys announced Pronger is done for the year and playoffs.

Wow...guess the doctors recommend he sit it out no matter what.

After what happened to Desjardins, Primeau, and now Pronger, the Flyers need to quit putting the C on players.

C stands for Cursed... Or perhaps Concussed in the case of Primeau and Pronger...

Don't forget Richards! I mean, he blacked out a lot after getting the C just like those guys.

Actually, did Desjardins get concussed while wearing the C? I think he gave it up to Primeau because he couldn't handle it, didn't he?

It's been speculated that concussions are what ultimately ended his career, and possibly his decline that led him to renounce the captaincy.

In regards to Rico (#37), concussions didn't end his career, other injuries did. Primeau's ended because of concussions. He still has problems to this day and that is why he isn't playing today, he's part of the coaching staff.

“What’s happened was I had 30-year-old eyes. I got hit and the doctor told me I had 60-year-old eyes,” the former Hartford Whaler, St. Louis Blue, Edmonton Oiler, Anaheim Duck and Philadelphia Flyer tells Murphy. “I don’t have very good peripheral vision. That so-called sixth sense? I used to really have a good one. Now, I couldn’t feel anybody comin’ around a corner. My kids scare me all the time.

“That used to be what I was known for: knowing where everybody was; having a feel for who was around me. Now I don’t have that.”

Holmgren says he ain't comin back.

Quote:
"I'll say it, Chris is never going to play again," Holmgren told The Hockey News. "I have no problems saying it."

Please retire and leave the Flyers with the cap hit from that idiotic contract. Please.
