I don't have a link but they let Biron and Nitty walk and signed "The Waterboy" Brian Boucher. So it's an Emery/Boucher tandem. I know they need to save money but hasn't the knock on this team been the goaltending pretty much ever since Hextall retired?!?

Dear God they'd better have something better planned. To have all the talent on O and D they have and have goaltending that mediocre is simply ridiculous.

Yes, a guy who took his team to the SC Finals must be mediocre.

He also flaked out the next season and got run out of town. It's a good risk for the Flyers to take, but be warned there are two Ray Emery's out there. The Flyers better hope they get the good one.

His KHL stats were pretty good! But then again, so were Esche and Martin Prusek's.

and to be fair, Boucher played great in relief of Nabokov last year. But neither of these guys is anywhere near what I'd call "proven" and you would think after all these years of going through this the Flyers would finally decide they need to be rock solid in net if they are going to take the next step. We'll see what happens.
