Anyone else have a 3D printer? We got one for Miss18.2 a while ago. It's pretty awesome. I've made all sorts of shit. From goofy things like Monty Python's black knight (one whole version, one with arms/legs that come off) to pieces to fix things not made anymore. We use TinkerCAD when we have to custom make something, but generally go to Thingiverse to look for things already designed. I've printed tons of things to hang specific tools, knobs for nuts & bolts, etc.

I found out the hard way that not all filaments are the same, and they can dry out if left sitting too long. I've had a few rolls a long time and the filament kept cracking while feeding. That's annoying as hell.

Clearly none of you give a shit about this, but I found out recently that I can buy 95A urethane, like skateboard wheels are made of, and 3d print old wheel replicas. Fuck. Yes! :Butch:

 Not sure I would have a use for random plastic printed objects. I've got enough clutter around the house as it is.

This is kind of funny though

Poor man's vent for your sh*tbox

Waiting for that replicator that gives me Tea, Earl Grey, Hot.

Clearly my mind goes right here:

However it doesn't look like that business model took off.

I thought that would be a very different item "for your shitbox".

I make pieces to fix all sorts of stuff. Improve other things... My daughter makes articulating dragons, snakes, and shit like that. It's kinda cool because she designs most from scratch, so she's learning CAD and engineering. Yeah, more plastic isn't what I like, but most of it will degrade over time.
