Jagmeet is doing well but the NDP are still nowhere.

I have no idea how to play this one. The Conservatives are to be feared but the Liberals are too cozy with China and not moving fast enough on energy transition.

I'm voting green.

Jag sucks.

I abandoned the Dips when they picked Jag over Charlie Angus.

It'd be so nice to have more than two parties to choose from.

Sigh, the brown/blackface thing has made Trudeau even more popular in Quebec. Separatist media in Quebec is so racist they actually have to DEFEND Trudeau this morning. Hyperpartisanship has made brainless slugs of us all.

The brown face deal should be a big deal as a 29 year old in year 2000, for the high school show 12 years earlier I'd definitely give him a pass.

Confession time, as a 21 year old I entered a college pub lip synch contest with a buddy in 1984 as the Weather Girls

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5aZJBLAu1E

At the time I had been pretty racially aware of the issues regarding first nations peoples, quite conscious of how grotesque the Redskins name for a football time was and more. Definitely not aware of issues regarding blackface though, and it wasn't until the late 80's that I was. The difference was probably being Canadian, we're a lot more cognizant of First Nations racism and less so regarding those of people of African descent which is more of an American sensitivity. Not that any racism should have borders but there is nuance that can be harder to grasp without exposure. Having said that, by 1990 I was well aware what I did in 1984 was wrong. To hear Trudeau say it wasn't racist in 2000, good grief he was 29 years old, what bubble had he been living in?

It is amusing though that the leader of the party that has been pointing the anti-immigrant/racism finger at the Conservative party gets so friggin exposed for his own hypocrisy...........lol
