The good thing about living in a state that has a lot of non natives is you get to experience things that other folks have brought in.

For instance Mayo.

For years I have been a Hellman's guy....or Best Foods west of the Mississippi.....never could do nasty ass Cool Whip or any government/budget mayo. But my tummy can't handle Hellman's...so I switched to Vegenaise but didn't like the Soy. They make a soy free brand that is ok.

Then one day in Walmart I happen upon this Dukes Mayonnaise.....I say why not......boy am I glad I did. This is the best shit I have ever had and it doesn't mess up my stomach.

If you get a chance give it a try.

Used to be a Hellman's guy but they changed their recipe several years ago. Lost the thickness and tang. Started buying generic after that. Unfortunately I've never seen Duke's, could use a good mayo again.

Real mayo was a casualty of my current health regimen, which is a shame because I loved a good schmear of Hellman's on a bagel sandwich. If I see Duke's in Canada I'll definitely partake.

Hypocritically, though, I occasionally buy Japanese Kewpie, which is probably even worse for me. The only difference is the bottle forces out the mayo in a thin streak, so technically I'm eating less of it.

Harmy, this board would've died a long time ago if not for you. From the Bundy ranch fiasco to the threat of artificial intelligence, to sex robots, and now, out-of-state mayonnaise, you keep things interesting around here. :eng101:  :mulletbutch:

Kewpie, thanks for the reminder EL, wife always keeps a bottle in the fridge so not sure how I forgot. Most people love the stuff, just too rich for me and and I like a bit of acid flavor to tang it up.
