So sad. Drives home the fact that landing on the Moon is the single greatest accomplishment in human history...and we haven't even come close to that since that man last walked there.

Oh I don't know about that. The space exploration since then has been pretty spectacular. Just doesn't make sense/not possible to send people to where we've gone since.

Feck...looking back his career was even more impressive than he usually gets credit for.

My favorite Bill Paxton films:

A Simple Plan
One False Move
Edge of Tomorrow (the movie itself is only "good" but he's clearly having a good time playing a bit role)
Aliens (of course)
Tombstone

The "Real" Father of Rock n' Roll, Chuck Berry, without whom there would not have been a rock n' roll passes away at 90.

RIP Michael Mantenuto, who played Jack O'Callahan in the excellent hockey movie Miracle.

Enlisted in the army after that. Committed suicide at 35.

Awful. The government does not do enough to help military personnel after their service.

It's almost as if Seattle musicians aren't meant to live a long life. Hendrix, Andrew Wood of Mother Love Bone and a former room mate of Cornell's, Cobain, Layne Staley and now Cornell. All gone too soon.
