... And now, so is Lux Interior at 62, formerly of the Cramps.

Damned... Will have to add some Cramps tunes to my playlist in memoriam...

Natasha Richardson has been taken off life support.

Sources close to the family tell E! News that the Tony Award winner was brain dead by the time she arrived in New York Tuesday night. Earlier today, the family made the wrenching call to remove her from respirators.

The craziest thing about this is that by all accounts the accident that killed her seemed fairly innocuous, and she was even insisting she was fine after it happened.

Goes to show you, some dude recently jumped off Niagara Falls, hitting the water so hard it tore all his clothes off, and is completely fine. This woman takes a tumble on the slopes like millions of people do every year (including me) and dies.

By the way, if you haven't seen "Asylum" starring her and Ian McKellen, I recommend it.

It was also on a bunny hill (edit: sorry, apparently a green run -- and a long one) during a lesson -- she just fell over, didn't hit a tree or anything. This story has really been on my mind, just for how much it reinforces how ridiculously fragile we are. Very sad and unpredictable turn of events.

Poor Liam Neeson... he probably heard his wife was in a "ski accident" and panicked at the thought of a broken leg.

Sad.

Impressive body of work: Filmography. I see from IMBD that she was in production currently" "Porndogs the adventures of Sadie".

Jack Kemp, all-star quarterback, politician, father, dead of cancer, 73

When I was younger I had no idea he was a politician, even though he played for the Bills way before my time.

Jay Bennett, formerly of Wilco, died yesterday in his sleep. He was 45. Wilco weren't nearly as good without him, I know that much. No cause of death is known yet, though he was scheduled to have hip surgery soon (which he was worried about since he was uninsured).

He came off a bit like a bitch on Wilco's documentary I Am Trying To Break Your Heart, which happened to chronicle his departure from the band, but the facts don't lie... Being There, Summerteeth, and Yankee Hotel Foxtrot kicked the ass out of everything they released prior and since.

First MJ, now Hughes. The 80s are literally dead.

This guy probably deserves his own thread, but I figure this will get more attention here.

In news that will most certainly bum my Dad out, Les Paul, arguably the first ever rock guitarist and inventor of the electric guitar, dies at 94. :(

A sad day in the world of folk music.

It's apparently just Peter and Paul now...
