Discovered this show recently it's quite funny! Humorous take on small town Ontario with it's Hicks, Skids and Hockey Players.

I got through 3 episodes yesterday. After being in suburbia for so long it took me an episode before I reconnected with my hillbilly upbringing.

How have I not posted here yet? One of my fave shows, and with each six-pack of episodes they get deeper and deeper into their unique language. A recent episode was basically nothing but obscure hockey player references.

So I recently returned from a celebration with a bunch of folks from Ontario.

I bring up LetterKenny and one of these guys tells me that it makes them all sound like hillbillies to the USA. And all Americans seem to think we act that way. I said pump the brakes big shoots and take another pull of that Crown! I don't think anyone beyond the border states even knows what letterkenny is! I also told him I grew up a stones throw from southern K-bec and its pretty spot on, maybe not so much in your civilized Ontario region!

He did agree with that and we continued to get after the secret stash of Crownl, so they say!

Dangles and celebrating the biscuit.....couple of Toeies and a snapbomb!

The sounds a 60 pounder of Crown make on the first two shots out of the bottle is one of the most pleasing audio experiences of my life.

So I am watching LetterKenny tonight and I hear this song:

Harmonium - Un Musicien parmi tant d'autres from 1974.....Wow!

I immediately went to Amazon to buy the album...f'n awesome!

Damn man I am going to have to look for some Crown Royal Maple next time I am at the store (yeah right)!

Fixed for clarification...to be fair I consider everything west of Quebec "Western Canada"..... E.L. what do you say?

LetterKenny is how I first found Milk & Bone as well.

I will learn to sing this song in French!

Some personal connections to this awesome show: my wife has worked with Jacob Tierney (co-creator, Pastor Glen) and James Patrick Daly (the blonde gay gym guy). I also know the guy who picks the music, who's a longtime music journalist in Canada. I actually picked his brain about wedding dance songs and he suggested the one we ended up using. Was hoping to see Wayne and his lady do their first dance to this one:

In Quebec there is a term for everyone west (or East) of QC: Rest Of Canada or ROC
