Hey folks.....I know we did this before but its time again. Kiva seems to have gotten so popular I can't even fund a loan anymore! Been trying for 2 days.

Anyway looks we can establish a lending team. Lets do it.

I just checked the Kiva page for the first time in a while - my Togolese butcher is almost finished paying back the loan. The lack of businesses to loan to has been an issue, and I was thinking of wasting the cash on a funny hat.

Who's the Cambodian who joined our group?

The only options right now are Pakistani. I will only donate to people in countries with some semblance of a working government.

Well, that pretty much narrows it down to New Zealand then.

Part/most/all of the reason that those people need money is because of their shitty governments...

Most of the African nations available: Togo, Ghana, Burkina Faso etc. are all fine choices.

Cambodia is an alright choice. Southeast Asia (sauf Myanmar) and the Aijans are decent.

My concern with Pakistan is that they're perilously close to a civil war coupled with India bombing the shit out of their mutual border.

I gave the motorcycle dude a $25 loan for a new ride. Motorcycles are things that I can get behind!

Just threw down some coin for Eduardo Jose Zelaya Vasquez's Honduran carpentry biz.

Kiva's down with wood!

House renos have left me a little short of funds lately, but I was able to kick a few bucks in for colourful sarongs. :)

Don't know why I didn't get into this back when I had spending money, this site is an awesome way to help folks out!
