Back in the saddle gents! Just brewed an Oktoberfest today with some cream ale yeast. Love my wort chiller!!! Also as a note to myself for future boils.....the BP of water at this altitude is around 201F 94C
Awesome. A quick cool is a big key to defeating chill haze.
Going to keg the IPA I have currently being dry hopped tomorrow. simcoe and amarillo are by far my favorite combo for hoppy beer.
Typically I found that I could achieve a much clearer beer through Secondary fermentation....at least that's what I did in the past (ferment in the better bottle and then to the glass car boy). I also found that secondary fermentation allows my IPAs to finish cleaner. This liquid yeast was more of a combo lager yeast as well so I am definitely going the secondary route with this batch. But now that you mention this perhaps I will go pick up some Knox Unflavored Gelatin for the future.
