I detest Ob-La-Di. Something about that song I just can't stand. The goofy bubbliness of the whole thing.
Similarly, I never got into the Who's biggest records: Tommy and Who's Next. Daltrey never appealed to me as a frontman (a lot of mid-range shrieking and limited personality), and Pete Townsend seems content to go overboard when some restraint is required.
But John's overloaded bass lines are kind of nifty. He's funny lookin'.
