Drank one of the Young's Double Chocolate Stouts that I had sitting in my fridge which had probably been there for at least 3 months, maybe longer. Supposed to be good until September of this year, but something tasted off. Unless I just hadn't drank one for a while and forgotten the flavour profile a bit.

Possible that one does have a unique taste. I've had them out of my cellar older than that and they where fine likely six months old. On that note think I still have one in there I really should drink sooner than later.

I still have one more in the fridge with a later expiry. I'll drink that one and see what it's like as well. One of the best beers available, especially at that price, in my opinion.

Quebec beer comes one and two. Funny coincidence as I just had Peche Mortel for the first time last night and will crab a couple more four packs this week as it is fantastic. Have Had the Saison de Tracteur as well and though I would reverse the order of one a two it also is a great beer.

Love Tracteur. They serve it on tap at the bar owned by the Godspeed You! Black Emperor guys (!), and it's a delight.

Peche Mortel I had on tap at the Dieu du Ciel bar. Haven't been in a couple of years (overdid it during my Mile End discovery days), but I remember digging it.

I have yet to buy either in stores, although I think the grocery store chain IGA has a deal with Dieu du Ciel.

Can't remember if I've mentioned it here, but there's a brewer from Iles de la Madeleine that makes amazing beer: http://www.alabridelatempete.com/Site/Bieres.html

The Terre Ferme might be the cleanest IPA I've ever had.

Silversmith Black lager is a fascinating malty lager as I guess the name would have you think. Surprised after how ho hum I was about their other offerings.

The hopes and dreams of Rockies fans, though they sink pretty fast after April.

If you guys happen upon Farnham beer, go nuts.

Farnham 12 heifeweizen is my favourite beer right now: http://www.farnham-alelager.com/

They've got a summer beer too you might like.

They also started selling Granville Island in my hood recently. Again, good hef.

I love summer music festivals, but I hate that they always have exclusive beer providers. Nothing but Heineken at Jazz Fest.

Damn that Kentucky Bastard was great. 5 months in the cellar, cooled in the freezer for a little bit before my friend and I drank it.

Looks like I prefer the Youngs fresher than letting in sit for the fridge for a few months.

Going to have to try the MaddAdamites NooBroo from Beau's.
