It's not like we live in an era of increased airport security or anything.

British Insurance Group has Street Safety All Wrapped Up

WORCHESTER, Great Britain (The Times)--A street with one of the highest number of motor insurance claims in Britain has been covered in bubble wrap to make it safer.

Somerville Road, Worcester, was hidden under 1,500sq ft (140sq m) of plastic sheeting, left, by an insurance company in an attempt to "highlight the need to be careful when behind the wheel". Trees, pavements, cars and lampposts were wrapped in the plastic to create "the ultimate safety blanket for motorists" in the street, which is known as "accident avenue".

David Draper, 70, who lives in the road, said: "I had no idea our road was so dangerous. As long as I can get my motorhome in and out the road I don't mind what they do — but it's certainly quite unusual."

Will Thomas, head of motor insurance at Confused.com, said: "We work with dozens of insurance providers, and we've picked up on the fact that claims activity has shot up recently due to the bad weather.

"I've spoken to some who have seen a 41 per cent increase in claims compared with a normal non-snowy period. We thought we'd highlight the need to take care out there and make sure you're fully covered on the roads with the best motor policy in our own, fun way. It would have been great fun to do this for every street in the UK but sadly we ran out of bubble wrap."

Offal, anyone? I've had beef tongue before (didn't care for it), but I wouldn't object to trying chicken hearts or monkfish lover, but that's as far as I'd go...
