Just got anally raped by Ticketmaster's new scalping front, NubHump.

The link for the tickets doesn't even work. Forcing me to use IE, that's not suspicious in the slightest.

I bought a replacement lamp for the projector in the Man's Room in December... $265... It had a 90 day warranty. Well, it went POP! yesterday night; these things are supposed to last 12-15 months... The last one lasted me almost 18... It just occurred to me that the no-name company that I bought it from may have sold me an used one.

Consumer HAPPINESS:
As some of you may remember, I have a bad habit of going swimming with cell phones.
This time I took the phone out of my pocket to swim.

However, I apparently put it back in before doing laundry.

BUT- the GZ'one phone is "water resistant in up to 1 meter, for up to 30 seconds". HA! Mine made it through a full washing machine cycle: rinse, soak, agitation, rinse, spin cycle.... No flaws after a week. And it smells lovely!

Highly recommend the phone. :D

You'd think they would offer more than a one year warranty if this product was any good Harmy,I'd still be careful with the Dora the explorer coloring books pal ;)

Found out today that I can order and ship the Blue Ray of Planet Earth from Amazon UK for half the cost of buying it on Amazon CA and I am told it will be fine with my player. Not sure why such a difference in cost?

Will confirm in a couple weeks when it comes that the "Region Free" is what I'm lead to believe and whether or not I get dinged for anything at the border when it comes in. But as of right now paying $28 and change rather than 54.99 + tax to buy the exact same disc domestic.

CBSA will hold it for a bit at the border and may decide to ask for taxes, but that wouldn't push the price up to $55 anyway.

Blue Rays Showed up my house without any duties charged so $28 bucks it is. Plays no problem on my system.

Will definitely check in with Amazon.uk for future blue ray purchases.

Going to get a new (used) car.

Probably getting a 2007 mercedes benz b-200 turbo.

The fucker goes. Is full of safety features. financed at 1.9 over 5 years.

And it's fucking got that thing on the front.

I used to have many benz hood ornaments from my youth.

Now I just may have one legitimately.

cool.

"Every day we call the adjuster eight or 10 times. There's no answer, no answering machine," said Regina Shipp, who has filed $33,000 in claims for lost business at her restaurant in Alabama. "If BP doesn't pay us within two months, we'll be out of business. We've got two kids."

F' this dingbat! If she calls me; she just may get my fax!

I love how the article fails to point out that she did not utilize her own coverage & go through her own insurance. From a legal standpoint, BP owes her nothing -- at least at the moment. Her claim is doubtful & disputed. Nor do we know if her damages have been verified.

My sympathy to the paper-pushers over at BP that have to put up with the above bullshit & are just trying to make a living so they can feed there 2 kids as well.

Here's the rest if you care:

Does anyone have any experience with Cogeco home phone/internet? I'm looking at packages for the house and the internet/home phone combo is about $20/month cheaper than what Bell is offering me after the service and rental fees.

Been using a VOIP connect for a couple years at home and previously at work. Flawless service. Probably lots using it in workplace and aren't even aware of it.

I've used Skype to call phones a few times, but not with any regularity.
