That's an idea.....I've got NHL 20.

Haha oh man...NHL 02 with tCL putting together video clips!

I haven't owned an NHL game since NHL 2010 for PS3.

I figured you'd say something like that. Was worth an ask. Got us through a lockout before.

So I have never been really big on FMV games.....choose your own adventure type. But when I saw a title called The Complex for sale which had Michelle Mylett in it and was about some virus shit so I took a flyer. I figured, hell, we're inside anyway....grab some beers and take a spin with this.

I was pleasantly surprised...and I actually played through it back to back. The 2nd time was a bit fuzzy but still enjoyable. It might even get a third time around some time from me at some point.

Kids found the ancient PS2 the other day and put in the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater disc (after googling how to use it, while I sat back laughing  ). It's been a LONG time since I had seen it and our TV then was like a 26" "deep dish" (don't think those had actual tubes)... Seeing the game now on a 44" HD TV I was shocked at how awful the graphics are. I remember it being really clear and realistic. Ah, how times have changed.

I'm playing Earthbound again. A slow paced RPG is perfect right now.

I kinda want to get Out of the Park baseball and sim the season.

I haven't finished Outer Worlds yet but I had a craving for Shining Force 2(an old Genesis turn-based absolute masterpiece of a game) so of course away we go for the nth playthrough of that game.

Heh...I also don't have a platform to play NHL 20 or 21 on right now since they don't do PC anymore.

Yes, speaking of, I have rediscovered AC Odyssey after purchasing the season pass and forgetting about it for a year. A lot of additional gameplay for one of my favorite games. Big Sexy Alexios is back to kicking ass!

I bought AC:Brotherhood on PC and Odyssey is only 23.99 on Steam right now and it sounds like you and others think its one of the best. I think I'll pick it up.

Sounds like I'll have a backlog of games to play now with Sunless Skies, AC Odyseey and I still haven't played Red Dead that I picked up used for PS3.

Far from next gen, my wife got Apple Arcade. It's pretty fun, works on a subscription model, but then you get games for free with no ads. It's mostly smaller indie games, but quite fun.

Assemble with Care has you rebuilding walkmans and espresso machines like they're puzzles. Really unique.

What the Golf is golf only the ball can be a person, or car, or bomb, or 500 balls. It's great to play while stoned.

Painty mob is also pretty trippy, you run around each map covering things with paint but the more you do, the larger the army of bad guys becomes.

It was fun enough that we bought a controller for the TV. Not gonna lie, I kinda just want to play fighting games these days.

Played Nuts on Apple Arcade. Fabulous.

It's a first-person puzzle game where you set up surveillance cameras in the forest to track and catch squirrels in the act. Surprisingly bittersweet story. Heartily recommend.

Not sure if you folks have gotten to the next Gen yet but I scored a PS5 console edition a few months back.

This site was key:

https://www.stockinformer.com/checker-p ... ystation-5

And ironically it was from a local Target that had on site supply.

It has its quirks. Most noticeably when trying to use the transfer feature and moving everything over to an external 5 TB WD black drive. The internal storage is garbage and you will quickly fill it up. External SSDs are more than this console costs so not there yet. Not sure if you can replace the internal SSD with something bigger (like past HD swaps with Playstation). Re-Downloading everything was a pain in the ass and the queue for the downloads causes an overload which knocks out the wifi network occasionally. Overall its all setup now and works really well. RockBand is even better and Days Gone was super smooth.

But really no games for it yet other than Valhalla which I haven't re-tried on PS5. Its all PS4 games. The PS4 Pro is probably still a better buy.

Looking forward to some Mass Effect in a few days!

No next-gen, unless you count Switch. My wife is hooked on Animal Crossing, so it's been hard for me to get Mario time in.

Finished my first "new" JRPG in years: Ni No Kuni. Put 70 hours into it. Beautiful graphics and audio from Studio Ghibli. Combat system challenging but not too hard.

I've got a taste and the time for another JRPG on Switch. Debating between Shin Megami Tensei, Xenoblade Chronicles, Persona 5, World Ends With You or maybe something else. Lots of options.

Big fan of JRPGs and I have played most of them (Started back with Dragon Warrior and Final Fantasy and old text adventures on C64). I loved Ni No Kuni (2 was ok).....any of the Shin Megami games are good...Persona 5 is fantastic and World Ends With You (DS) is a classic. Xenoblade Chronicles (another classic) I played back on the Wii.

If you asked my kids they would all say Persona 5 (specifically Royal)

If it wasn't for PS Exclusives like Days Gone, Horizon and Ghost of Tsushima I'd probably be a switch convert due to all the JRPG ports.
