https://sports.vice.com/en_us/article/w ... -slam-shut I laughed at this line: Quote: Dan Girardi has not played since Game 1 of this series as he battles a debilitating case of Dan Girardi

Dan Boyle unloads on Larry Brooks, living out probably every Ranger's dream. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck- ... soc_trk=tw |

I don't know if there's another reporter that's so hated. That said, Boyle needs to stop being a baby. You got paid millions to play a game, and in NYC, people talk shit about you. Get over it, candy ass. And by the way, thanks for not signing with the Islanders. You do suck anymore. |

Even better...there is video http://www.tsn.ca/must-see/video/must-s ... ade~857183 Clearly....this guy must have kept it too real......but he does write for the Post and that rag reads like a tabloid anyway. |

Indeed. I suggested a while ago the Post call their Rangers coverage "The Rag on the Rags", but for some reason they ignored me. No idea why. |

The Rangers are catching the youth bug like everyone else, but in this case it might be a case of "capcrunchitis". Anyway, these possible opening night line combos look intriguing: Jimmy Vesey - Derek Stepan - Mats Zuccarello Chris Kreider - Mika Zibanejad - Pavel Buchnevich J.T. Miller - Kevin Hayes - Rick Nash Michael Grabner - Brandon Pirri - Jesper Fast Highlighted names are new additions for this season. That's quite a bit of turnover. Buchnevich and Vesey are rookies. Word has it the first callup will be Cristoval "Boo" Nieves, also a rookie. The Rangers had also signed Nathan Gerbe and Josh Jooris this offseason, only to send them to their AHL affiliate (which I assume is still the Hartford Whale Pack). Gerbe refused to report and is apparently headed to Europe, haven't heard yet about Jooris but he's reportedly got a similar offer waiting. It's on D where this team is kinda not looking so good. With Kevin Klein hurt... Ryan McDonagh - Dan Girardi Marc Staal - Nick Holden Brady Skjei - Adam Clendening Dylan McIlrath Yeesh...I can attest that Nick Holden in your top four is not a good thing. Skjei and McIlrath are, you guessed it, rookies. McIlrath is of course a very, very BIG rookie, but a rookie nonetheless. All in all this team is right where it's been for a while...a good team that needs some really stellar goaltending in order to be great. It really all depends on King Henrik whether these guys make it or not. Rangers fans seem pretty dead set on Vigneault getting the axe though. |
