If he really thinks he should coach then go start doing that in Jr and work your way up.

[fans]But he has an intense look on his face and is therefore a born leader![/fans]

Sorry, I mean "the greatest leader in professional sports". Because he has an intense look on his face, and once said the Rangers would win a game (which they were favored to win) and then did.

He has been coaching: Mites!
But I'm totally serious. His son's team played our organization's mites the last 2 years. He's hung out & spoken with all who wanted to... I think it might be slightly off from an NHL job, but you can't say he hasn't coached before.

Wouldn't be surprised if he stumbled his way back to Edmonton.

Sad thing is, he'd likely be the smartest hockey guy in the front office.

Of course the Oilers would take him back in a heartbeat.

Not so sure about that. Would Lowe allow anyone to upstage him? I doubt it.

Messier's new job is CEO of a fucking huge rink complex being built in the Bronx. NINE full size indoor rinks, including one with seating for 5k. Nine rinks will be the biggest in the US. They plan to pay all rink employees an NYC living wage, which is incredible and great.

In the Bronx? Yep. Weird place for it? Yep. Awesome? Yep!

Supposed to be open in 2014. I look forward to my kids playing there, even if Mr. Cupgasm runs it.

NINE rinks!? That's insane. I used to be in awe of the double-rink complex in Littleton growing up.

If that gets more kids into hockey, then he's doing a great service to the game. Hope he follows through on it.
