His legacy will be a mixed one for sure, but I agree with others who said if not for him, the Isles likely would have ceased to exist.

A lot of comments I've seen are that the guy was loyal. To a fault, but he was loyal. Can't be mad at that, I suppose.

Isles fans are very mixed on his legacy, but I think only a moron would believe that the Isles would still be anywhere near Long Island without him.
He was certainly unorthodox and overly loyal, but he loved the team and kept them the New York Islanders. For that, I will always be thankful.

Of course, "Isles fans" head right over to Tavares' Twitter account to attack him for writing an RIP to Wang. Social media really does allow the assholes to reveal themselves. :roll:
If you hate Tavares so much, why are you checking his account or following him? Stop following someone you hate and move on with your "life".
