Yeah, it's pathetic.

Another night, another loss. This time to the Devils. Horrible officiating, but that went both ways. Isles got fucked out of a scoring chance when Greene highsticked and cut Palmieri. The refs thought Palmieri was really hurt and blew the whistle, despite Leddy having the puck, and moving past the fallen Palmieri...

Greiss finally played again. He did not look good, but that's no surprise.

Isles sweep the season series vs the other bad NY Metro team.
Anders Lee was credited with his 40th goal, but didn't celebrate it. Because he knew it was Hickey's goal.
Beauvillier finishing the season strong, with goals in 5 straight games. He's now got 21 on the season. Barzal with 22. Good scoring from the kids. Now if they could only get a better goalie and D.

Isles announcers saying there's a possibility that last night was Tavares' last home game as an Islander. I've known it, but somehow the home announcers saying it made it feel more real. Hopefully it's not. Hoping he's pulling a Stamkos.

At Detroit tomorrow for the season finale for both teams.

Game 82. Tavares accidentally tips in a Detroit pass on Greiss. Probably the first of many goals he'll score against the Isles over the next 12 years.
1-0 after the first period.

Tavares with a beauty of an OT winner. Possibly his last as an Islander.
Lee with a beauty for his 40th. He must have had a hell of a bonus. He looked beyond ecstatic. It had been like 8 games since he'd last scored.
Pulock told announcer Butch Goring he had a bonus at 10 goals, so he was psyched to get his 10th.

Still sucks seeing Nielsen in anything besides an Islanders jersey. He's what they need too. A great defensive forward.

Rumor, likely started by Islanders public enemy #1 Chris Botta, that Ledecky is looking to either fire or move Snow to president, and bring in a new GM. No clue how legit this is. Botta hates Snow with a passion since he's the one who banned him from their home games. Still no word on what Botta did to deserve that. I tried starting the rumor that he parked in Snow's private spot, but somehow it never gained traction.

At least it's something to talk about. Keep hearing that every day that passes makes it less likely that Tavares re-signs. While I feel it's true, they said the same about Stamkos.

Just found out today that my new job offers many perks, including discounted tickets to events at Barclays- including Isles games. I'm just hoping like hell that it includes games at the Coliseum too.

More Botta on Snow- https://www.sny.tv/islanders/news/as-evaluation-continues-plenty-of-hockey-execs-available-to-isles/273638776

I'd love to hear the background story of their feud.
