He's a talented, but injury prone puckmoving defenseman. Fits right in with Streit.

Ducks be wantin' some cap relief.

Big kid who hits hard according to scouts I heard before the draft.

Isles seemed to target big kids in this draft. Not a bad idea since they were getting pushed around.

Hoo boy...cue the sad horn.

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck- ... um=twitter

Visnovsky is apparently mulling an offer to jump to the KHL, which I assume would void the deal. If it doesn't, cue another sad horn.

He's said he'll be in Isles camp. Supposedly this was outdated info- that he was mulling the KHL while still on the Ducks. Once traded to the Isles he said he'd be in camp if there's an NHL season.

Must not have liked fetching Boudreau ice cream every intermission.

Too good to be true. Or it'll take several of their key core guys to get him, and then he'll get hurt. This is misfit island afterall.

Unmentioned elsewhere, the Isles chose D with all their picks in this year's draft. And pretty much all big kids. most 6'4", and no strangers to playing with an edge. Good. They need it.

You never know, Garth Snow could offer Bob Murray ALL HIS DRAFT PICKS FOR ALL TIME for Ryan or something.

 I've heard a lot of rumors on that. Supposedly it was going to be if Yakupov was available at #2 (and who thought he would be???), Snow would give all this year's picks for the #2.

Because the Isles aren't the brunt of enough jokes already.

Haven't heard his reaction, but arbitrator upheld the trade. Visnovsky is an Islander. Now, let's see if there's a training camp for him to report to.

That old Kings (can't believe I'm calling that team old, but it kinda is) blueline of Visnovsky, Schneider, Norstrom, Modry, Miller and Boucher was sorely underrated. Visnovsky especially...it'd be nice if he can somehow get some of that mojo back. Assuming he reports and assuming there's anything to report to.

He had said he'd report if the trade was upheld. But yeah, if there's anything to report to.

There's something to report to, but Lubo is not reporting.

If Lubo came, the Isles have a shot at the playoffs. Their top 4 on D is excellent with him, but depth wise they are terrible.

Of course, if they insist on rolling DiPietro out there for 10 games this year, that's basically a guaranteed 8 losses, and they miss the show.

Honestly, the Isles are close. A couple of shrew moves would put them in. Tavares has a Hart Trophy waiting for him very soon.

Blindly digging will get them into the playoffs? Sweet!

Visnovsky says it is not because it's the Islanders. And I call bullshit on that.
Should be a minor footnote compared to Kovalchuk possibly not coming back. That will get all the press, and really force the issue of NHL/KHL agreement.

Good move by the KHL...what with Sochi coming up and all best to not risk some big draws.
