*crickets chirping*

Rumo(u)r has it Snow is waiting until other teams hit the "Cap Panic" button & start cutting players. He will then swoop in. He's supposedly taking this approach to obtaining a legit enforcer to protect JT.

Sounds risky. But, this is the Islanders.

Tanguay would be a good setup guy for Tavares.

Yeah. But who knows what Snow is up to. I think he has a dream of Bailey centering Okposo & Tavares, & setting them up for 40+ goals per year, to validate his picking.

You know what's funny about the Isles? Everything! But seriously, if they maintain the status quo for the 2010-11 year, not signing any big contracts (topping out at $4m or so per year), Alexei Yashin will once again receive more money from the Islanders than any other player:

He's due over $4.75m in 2010-11. After that, the worst is over, but he's still due a little more than $2.2m per for 4 years.

I'm so glad Wang decided to stick his nose into NHL contracts!
