Yep, Jersey's first legit alternate sweater is an absolute disaster.

I wish they'd just bring back the classics, green pants and all. One of the all-time best designs.

Luke Hughes is already looking like a legit superstar in the making but Good Lord that kid's NHL career is gonna be super-short if he doesn't get a better awareness of when he's gonna get hit. Got absolutely trucked behind the net last night by Artturi Lehkonen, coughing up the puck and leading to a goal against.

This team is young, talented, and dysfunctional.

Plagued by no goalie all season, now the team has turned on Lindy Huff. On-the-way-out prospect Alex Holtz posted and deleted a re-share on IG about Ruff needing to be fired.

Fitzgerald should be FIRED if he doesn't get a goddamned goalie soon. I can't believe he let two top-four defenders walk and still didn't even bother to shore up the team's most obvious and glaring weakness.

Holtz gets his wish, Lindy gets pink-slipped, and Fitzgerald makes it clear that his handling of Holtz played a part.

Travis Green comes in and immediately does the opposite of Lindy, putting Holtz back in, and taking Nemec out.

Jack Hughes finally said something about the shitty goaltending after getting blown out by the decidedly meh Kings, so you know his frustration has to be boiling over bad for him to finally stop biting his tongue. Feels like Fitzgerald had to do SOMETHING, and now he'll be more desperate than ever for a goalie...or they've decided to punt on this season and prepare for next year. We'll see.

I still think Fitzgerald should be the next one gone. Absolutely abominable to think he could get away with losing two top four defenders, replace them with two talented but very green 20-year-olds, and not upgrade the goaltending at all. Things were obviously made even worse when Hamilton went down. Arrogance of that magnitude should not be rewarded.

So it sounds like the Devils are likely dealing Tyler Toffoli, which means they're punting on this season. That's sad, but not too surprising since the two goalies reportedly available aren't up for grabs anymore.

Heads should roll for this, and not just Lindy's. Absolutely inexcusable to waste a prime year of a core this talented because your front office was too fucking lazy and/or arrogant to address the goaltending situation.

Meier immediately turning his season around with Ruff gone. Funny how those things happen...
