Lou Lamoriello announces Ray Shero is the Devils new GM

Nice move in Newark. I still think they might make a play for Babcock.

Lamoriello stepping down as Devils GM makes sense. The guy is 72. At that age, he should really be on the roster.

Heck of a legacy, Luo...

Remember how the Devils used to be considered the gold standard when it came to drafting and David Conte was considered a genius?

They're not a terrible drafting team, but they've had some lean years. The astute Zajac selection happened 11 years ago.

Larsson, Merrill, Gelinas and Severson form a nice homegrown D corps, at least.

They whiffed on Tedenby, while Matteau and Josefson are middling pros. Boucher's another tweener.

New coach: John Hynes. Formerly the HC of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. A Shero hire, to be sure.

Dude is only 40. Good thing they got rid of Jagr- he's older.

Looks like David Conte is out.

Maybe it's just a Chrome thing, but that link is Kryptonite to Shockwave Flash.

Andre Savard and Claude Noel join on as scouts.

Savard's a dolt, but a competent scout.
