Apparently Jeffrey Vanderbeek is even more burned out than Lou Lamoriello...he's reportedly put the team up for sale. Seeing as how he bailed on Lehman Brothers before they went belly-up, the only surprise is that he didn't do it sooner.

How much do you buy into gentrification? That part of Newark is ugly now, but the assumption is that area is less than a decade away from being a bustling NYC middle-class satellite.

Therefore someone will buy it.

Here's an article that pretty much saw this coming.

The fallout from could be pretty serious. Sooner or later ONE of these fading franchises (Glendale, Columbus, NJ) is going to fold/relocate and leave one of these pretty little barns a empty, crumbling, derelict eyesore.

The Devils are vehemently denying these reports, but then again Golisano swore up and down the Sabres weren't for sale, and look what happened there?

Presser announced today to introduce the next head coach Lou Lamoriello will fire. Sources say it will NOT be Ken Hitchcock or Michel Therrien. Darren Dreger says the odds-on favorite at this point is Peter DeBoer.
