Like in Minny, he doesn't allow his boss the satisfaction of firing him.

The Devils will have their 3rd coach in 3 years next year, and Lou hasn't had a chance to fire anybody in that time. He must be pissed.

How safe is Todd Richards' job?

Seriously though, this team has adopted the Brodeur culture. Marty's only cared about padding his regular season stats for sometime. The poor play of Parise during these playoffs has to be disconcerting. Even worse, Kovalchuk became the go-to guy for Lemaire, and they might not even be able to re-sign him.

What about Paul Martin? He was horrid in the playoffs, but he's the closest thing they have to a puck moving D. Will he ever be fully healthy?

Word was Lemaire was getting fired for the flameout anyways.

He can have Jacques Martin if he wants. Especially now that he has met the "worked in Montreal" requirement.

Are they sure he didn't retire before the playoffs? Because it didn't look he was doing much in the way of coaching in our series.

Why is no one at all mentioning Kirk Muller? I think he or Charlie Huddy would be decent choices for head coaches in the NHL, just MHO.

Because it's a coaching job, not a drinking contest.

You're close: MA Godin from La Presse says Michel Therrien will probably be the man booking a one-way to Newark.
