756 career points in 1079 games over 16 seasons. Not bad for a kid from Alaska.

Considered a great teammate, even according to his old Montreal buds. I'll always remember the miracle 2010 playoffs, where he played a big role in taking down Crosby and Ovechkin.

I so wanted Gainey's crazy-ass reboot of the Habs to work. And it nearly did.

Hell of a player, even with all the accolades I still feel he was underrated. A very unique player as well, not sure when we'll ever see a Hispanic kid from Alaska win the Calder Trophy and the Stanley Cup again.

When Gomez was on, it was a treat to watch him carry the puck through centre ice and into the offensive zone.

One of the best of his era at doing that.

For a brief moment, I thought I had watched Scott Gomez's final pro game at Ricoh this season, as he quit Hershey right after that. But then he signed in Ottawa. It was fun watching him against AHLers, the legs weren't there but he clearly could read the game at a much higher level than others.
