Okay, I need to know how in hell Nashville keeps reclamating or developing these great goaltenders. What gives? Do they have their own Warren Strelow!? |

Yep, that Brian Finley sure was awesome. Only Vokoun has truly been awesome. Dunham was an average goalie, Mason was average who had a good year, Ellis was the same. We'll see with Rinne. All I know is that Pierre Maguire keeps telling the story of how he was Niklas Backstrom's backup in Finland and the Nashville scouts had to go see him in warmup to determine if they wanted to pick him or not (since Backstrom started almost every game). All these goalies are expendable (Vokoun was a salary dump). It's very Detroit of them. They really hope Chet Pickard will be their real franchise goalie. |
