This is incredible. Happy for you guys. An Isles-Habs SCF would be so weird.

The Habs, 2021 Western Conference Champs and Clarence Campbell bowl winners

Keep it going Habs. Found the constant talk of how weak the North was annoying AF this past season.

Churches and Porn Booths to be pissed on! Poutine to eat (plus all the other awesome food) and 144 oz pitchers to drink! Shit you make me want to book a trip!

I enjoyed that Rock The Sweater song.

I will break social distancing rules and hug anyone who makes the pilgrimage. (Possibly not game night, though, the Liveblog keeps me chained to my desk).

I've been Liveblogging the games for the Montreal Gazette website since February.

Me too....but not the Habs one! He has them for a lot of other teams. Just stumbled upon that when searching Les Habitants.

That's awesome! He even has wall murals. No Islanders Chris.....sorry! But Wings, Bs, Flyers, Pens and Hawks....and all Canada

That's a good gig live blogging. It sure beats OTP game threads!

I never expect anyone to have Isles stuff besides Isles fans. There's a sports bar about 30 minutes from my house. I figured it would be all baseball, football and basketball. They had a fair amount of hockey stuff and a bunch of it was Isles. I nearly fell off my bar stool when I saw a John Tonelli poster. They had a mini Cup replica after the Isles 4th one was engraved. Great stuff. I should go back soon.

There's a reason we changed the "Fuck This Team" thread to "This Fucking Team" last offseason. Something changed in this organization. It finally got over trading PK. Finally got some young players to pan out. The forward corps got deeper. They hit free agent paydirt on Chiarot and Edmundson after striking out on Alzner. For whatever reason, Bergevin needed a few kicks at the can to get it right, but after the Pens series a year ago you could tell the mood was different in the organization. Toffoli wanted to come here. Perry sat by the phone, but when he got the call wanted to come here. Anderson couldn't wait to sign an extension. Allen took a paycut but committed. Bergevin finally built the team of his dreams, and sure, there's a lot of scorched earth that came before, but he got the time and freedom to do it his way.

Bergevin was still a noob when he got the Montreal job. I think he was only with the Hawks for 4 years and only one year as an AGM. What I see with Bergevin is just a guy who is learning his job and with some pretty good aptitude for being a GM. If he was a Habs player - he would have been KK.... with more muscles.
