Do you guys still use the protocol of posting the thread in the home team's group? Wasn't sure, but didn't want to risk bad mojo from Leafs Nation. They have a lot of bad mojo.

Oh..well if we do..I am unaware of it. iiam: I figure we just start a thread where whoever is willing to talk about it. Been quite a while since we have had several Canadian teams involved at once around here.

I don't think we've ever had a Jets or Oilers fan grace this place though.

I for one am ready for some Ouebec/Ontario action!

Good luck Gents! Hopefully you all can get some fans in the stands before its over.

I'm the only Leaf fan that remains and I am not offended where the threads end up.

But all that said for the next 5 - 11 days you do suck Habs fans.

My Troll game is going to need work.

yep and just like that.....the Leafs lose Tavares. To Perry's defense he does try to get the hell out of the way but that was just bad luck. Hopefully the stretcher is just a precaution and his bell is just severely ringing for a short while.

Tavares flashes the thumbs up on his way out so hopefully that's a good sign.

In a show of chivalry days gone by.......Perry takes the beatdown from Foligno without even throwing a punch on the ensuing faceoff. Let that be that then.

I actually saw it that way, silver lining in what is an otherwise crushing mess was Perry was a stand up good guy about it all. I mean admittedly I don't watch a ton of west Hockey but always hear he is a shit. but in this case he handled a tough situation about as well as you could.

I was hoping Foligno watches the replay at intermission, and then lets Perry give him a smackdown.

Yikes with that Tavares injury. Freak accident, but the damage is done. His visor was bloody and he just crumpled to the ice.

Byron's goal was nuts. Resilience to keep on the play after taking the trip.

Anderson was a beast all night. He'll cause the Leafs fits if he keeps it up.

Price, man. The guy still shows up in the playoffs. Absolutely stoned Marner on that 2-on-1.

Oh boy. I was looking forward to this series too. Now it’s just marred all to hell.

Two bad turnovers by Jumbo Joe turn into Habs goals. Rough night for poor Sandin as well.

Guess we’ll see what happens but now I’m sure we won’t see Kotkaniemi and Caufield, and now Toronto is missing a major part of their offense. Blech.

The hit to JT was terrible.

And the Habs need to keep running them as much as they can.

Matthews was a non factor.

Habs in 6.

I haven't watched the Tavares injury and I'm not sure I want to. Sure hope he's ok :x

That Byron goal was unbelievable. Just an incredible effort.

JT's fencing response was downright nightmarish. I've only seen that on someone going through grand mal seizure, but that was partially expected. If they're serious of player safety - we won't see him again in round 1.

Byron... I was hoping they could get rid of his contract. I don't anymore :bandwagon:

Foligno should have got an instigator penalty.... even though I hate that penalty.

Habs need to keep the physicality up.

I don't think that the Leafs have the grit to power through it.

The Foligno fight was a joke.

Loved at the end of the game watching Charot knock down two Leafs with one crosscheck.

It was an accident but as soon as I saw the deadline "Tavares leaves the game on a stretcher after a knee to the head", I immediately knew it was going to Perry before I even clicked on the article. It just had to be him.

You're not the only one. Where Perry goes, injuries follow.

On a smaller scale, Jake Evans got hurt later in the game. Kotkaniemi will likely replace him Saturday.

Five consecutive penalties called against you you're not going to win. Plenty of ref and self inflicted wounds in game 2.
