They say you technically don't die of Alzheimer's but I'll be damned if anyone I've heard about makes it long following diagnosis.

Farewell to one of the all-time greats. They were talking on NHL Radio about how different he was as a player than his brother. While Maurice was Ovechkin, Henri was Bergeron.

84 is a good, long life, and by all accounts he lived it well.

I remember him scoring the Stanley Cup winning goal against Detroit in 1966 and lifting the Stanley Cup as Captain in 1973 against Chicago. Farewell.

Heard an old interview of his where he said his brother Maurice was thinking of retiring when Henri got the callup as a 19 year old. They ended up playing five seasons with each other and won five cups.
