Cronyism at its worst. Lefebvre, a Bergevin pal, was the head coach of the Habs' AHL affiliate for six years and up until this season had not produced a single NHLer of note and only made the playoffs once. Charles Hudon, a depth player, broke the cycle of futility. De La Rose and Scherbak might graduate too.

It's not entirely on him because he was joined doing what the team asked of him, but they were awful on his watch.

Tinordi was ruined because they asked him to hit and fight.
McCarron was ruined because he needed to work on speed and skating while they emphasized toughness.
Pateryn needed to leave to find success. Ditto Andrighetto.
Beaulieu has all the gifts in the world and hasn't put it together.
Leblanc was punished for being drafted by the old regime.
So many meh defencemen: Dietz, Lernout, Ellis, Drewiske, Johnston, Hanley, Didier, Parisi.

There is a pretty good coach in Halifax who seems to have a knack for working with high end euros...

Admittedly he didn't have much to work with in Laval did he? Timmins might want to think about jumping ship as well, his once-stellar rep is taking a beating under Bergevin.

A shame, I was actually a fan of his when the Avs first arrived, I kinda picked him as my "favorite" player. As many on here know I have a tendency to pick guys no one else does to root for (case in point--Patrice Brisebois) and he played the same low-event defensive game I did when I was on the ice. I would've gotten a jersey with his number on it had he not bolted afterwards.

Boom.

JJ Daigneault and Daniel Lacroix out. Highly regarding Q coach Dominic Ducharme in.

This is a great move. Ducharme has a track record of developing young talent, including Drouin, MacKinnon, Ehlers and Meier in Halifax. He's a future NHL coach, no doubt in my mind.

Dudley out as Bergevin's right hand man. I think Rick, being Marc's mentor, had undue influence on roster construction, which is bad because Rick's old and has a pretty long track record of so-so results.

Joel Bouchard hired to coach the Rocket! Hallelujah!

Ducharme and Bouchard are future HC and GM material, dare I say.
