Head to head for two teams looking to tank their way to a better draft choice. Who will stumble their way to a win? Both at 41 games, 38 points. Montreal should take this as it appears Tanev is out and its the second game of back to back nights for the Nucks. However Price is out with the flu and a game time decision. Hopefully he show's, Boeser gets one goal and the Canuck's lose this 2-1. |

Marc Bergevin's biggest failing is that he always thinks he's the smartest guy in the room. I've met him, interviewed him -- he's not nearly as smart or as well-spoken as he believes he is. |

I once spoke a lot of english to a french (France) guy because I thought he would understand (like a Quebecois might)... Fan language is about the team and winning the Cup... but it's a business...we all agree on that.... What the hell are you guys bothering about with respect to winning the Cup? The Canadiens are profitable and that's the language that matters. |

About the only thing Bergevin has done is prove why the Bolts moved on from Drouin. For all that slick playmaking talent dude is useless in his own end, and plays a soft perimeter game. Under the right circumstances that guy could thrive. These aren't the right circumstances. |

In an alternate universe, Sergachev and Subban are anchoring a solid defence with Markov-Petry and two solid depth guys. The current blueline is a disaster. Weber's foot won't heal. Markov is gone. Petry is crumbling under the pressure. Benn is being used as a no. 2. Alzner's contract is already an albatross. Mete and Juulsen will be forced to become 20 minute d-men. Jerabek is Diaz 2.0. CJ keeps trotting out Morrow. Schlemko is a warm body. There's no one on the farm. I don't see a way out for this corps. Basically hope Weber recovers, Alzner adjusts and Petry/Benn get re-slotted where they belong. Mete-Weber Alzner-Petry Benn-Juulsen |
