Nah, they're starting to struggle and Carey couldn't stop a beach ball right now.

All in all a great Hab. At his best, he was a 1b centre who annoyed the opposition, played a little dirty and put up points. Played hard for the Habs and his country. Along with Krecji, kept Czech hockey going during some lean years. Now he gets to go back and help train the next generation.

Totally agree, and that's why I've had him as an avatar fro the last 10 years.

Do the Habs sell turtlenecks? They should start.

The goals were all well and good and made the locals happy for a spell, but Carey Price is severely messed up right now and the team is falling back to Earth in a hurry.

This is now a season devoted to getting Price's head back in the game and figuring out who might play defence in 2020. Reilly and Ouellet looked fine for a bit but the minutes have caught up with them. Despres decided to stay home so there's no one on the farm.

Injuries starting to creep up: Juulsen, Armia, Byron out for a while.

Habs blown out in Jersey. The defence has collapsed with Weber due back next week.

Is Price hurt or is it just porous D? ,895 save % is well below his personal and league average.

He hasn't been his old self in a year and a half, despite being mostly healthy. He had kid(s) and his play dipped last season after becoming a papa, but so far this season he just seems out of sorts. Bad fundamentals, lax in his coverage. The defence is bad but he should still have a better save pct than that. He's taken some personal days too, just to work on technique with Stephane Waite. He's off, and he hasn't been on in a while, but there doesn't appear to be anything physically wrong with him. In other words, it's complicated.

I'm wondering if the $10.5M per annum has anything to do adding complications. We saw that first hand with Luongo in Vancouver when in retrospect, the contract actually didn't suck at all.

Karl Alzner can't even find himself a spot on the Habs' porous defence. On waivers https://www.habseyesontheprize.com/late ... oster-move

He'll be Wade Reddened, because I doubt anyone will take him in a trade. A questionable move at the time, it also cost the Habs Radulov and Markov because Bergevin earmarked his big free agent money for Karl.

Dear god I hope the Canucks don't grab him off waivers.
