And now PK...

Really scary play, so I've been told. Missed the game and I kinda don't want to see it. I guess I'll watch it later.

Called a non serious neck injury. Price supposedly back either next Tuesday or Wednesday.

Therrien now saying Price won't be ready then.

Thanks to injuries, tonight's d-corps against the Wild was:

Markov-Barberio

TVA's Renaud Lavoie says Therrien will be back next season. The coach responded that nothing is set in stone:

I think Therrien will be back next season, but I think Lavoie is jumping the gun a bit, even though he's probably right. Does that make sense?

Guy Boucher has been sighted at a few recent Habs games. Would he be willing to come in as an assistant?

Outgoing D Tom Gilbert on what happened: (translated from French)

"We found excuses when things didn't go well. If there's something to be learned from this season is that we need to show more maturity."

Bingo.

Michael Farber thinks former Therrien assistant and Minny coach Mike Yeo will join the Habs' coaching staff next year, should Therrien return. (He will.)

Habs sign St. Cloud State G Charlie Lindgren and place Ben Scrivens on waivers. Lindgren will backup Condon for the remainder of the season.

Galchenyuk and Pacioretty have been on the same line since March 5th against the Jets, in 12 games: Galchenyuk 13pts, Pacioretty 12pts

Therrien's insistence all season that these two players couldn't work together on the same line -- he even said as much in postgame press conferences -- has been so bizarre.

I'll never understand why coaches will be so stubborn as to threaten their job security.

finally.

If he would have been called up earlier, the habs would have made the playoffs.

Allstar.

Price had an MCL injury in his right leg. Mystery solved.

This :steamingpileofcrap: season comes to an end tomorrow. Good riddance. Pray to the hockey gods for better health in 2016-17.

Media is trying to stoke the flames on Subban trade rumours, which I'll take with a grain of salt. (CTV's Brian Wilde is the only person here who's had a worse season than Bergevin/Therrien.)

Therrien will most likely return, though, unless ownership swoops in.

Man, Bergevin keeping Therrien is like giving himself the complete opposite of a vote of confidence in his ability to build a team. He is essentially saying that the team that he has constructed after Price is just bad, and Therrien is the guy for the job. That Therrien is not the problem, the team is.

I think it's also a matter of wanting to give Therrien a chance to win with a full lineup.

Price got hurt, but Gallagher also missed time and the defence unraveled after Petry decided to keep playing with a hernia.

If Bergevin is aggressive in the offseason and adds some firepower, I think people will be more willing to give the coach another shot.

Personally, I think the game has passed Therrien by the last two years. He came here a supposed changed man, but whenever the team has struggled he's reverted to Lemaire acolyte mode. I'd love to see someone come in like how Trotz brought the Caps together. Is Boucher the guy?

Therrien, Hartley, and Roy all come from the same old-school coaching tree. That's two recent Jack Adams winners, and a guy who was the odds-on frontrunner for the award at the beginning of this season. All three now look very much out of place in today's NHL.

On a side note, I can't help but wonder if maybe the Jack Adams should go to a coach who has established some sort of tenure with a single team previously. Like at least two seasons or something as a prerequisite. Of course that would seriously limit the number of nominees.

Or maybe voters should stop simply going with the coach who defied expectations?

Barry Trotz was the best coach in the NHL this season. It's not even close.

Habs brethren - how feasible is a trade involving PK Subban this summer? Any truth to the rumours that he is not that well liked in the locker room?

Well, at least it'll be an offseason of anxiety for both Avs and Habs fans...we can commiserate on that.
